A gated community with seven houses. To the outside they appear to be perfect, they have money and community. The problem? Olive Collins has been dead in her home for 3 months, and not one of her neighbours came to check on her during that time. 6 houses around her and her death went unnoticed for 3 months. 6 houses, 6 secrets and families who are not what they seem. The people around Olive all seem to have had an issue with her before her death- in fact they all seem glad she’s dead. Did on of them kill her? And will their exclusive community ever be the same again?
I’ve read some of Jo Spain’s books before and I’ve had mixed feelings on them. However, this one was amazing. The characters all seem so perfect at first glance but they all have a secret, one that their dead neighbour knew. They all had reason to kill her, and these reasons are explored in depth throughout the book. Everybody has suspicion on them at some stage and it’s impossible to see who out of all of them had the most reason to kill Olive. I would definitely recommend this book if you’re interested in thrillers. An excellent storyline and characters with a lot of layers- the perfect book!
