After years together, the arrival of longed-for daughter Millie sealed everything in place. A happy little family of three. And so what if Simon drinks a bit too much sometimes – Daisy’s used to it, she knows he’s letting off steam. Until one night at a party things spiral horribly out of control. And that happy little family of three will never be the same again.
I honestly just really struggled with this book. I couldn’t get into it at all and I felt no connection to the characters. I found the whole story very hard to get into and I was having to force myself to read it each night. For me, the thriller aspect was missing. A lot of the story was so predictable and there was no twist at any stage. The first twenty percent of the book was just never ending and I nearly gave up at that stage. I didn’t as I was still hoping it would pick up. It didn’t unfortunately. I didn’t feel anything for the characters which is never a good sign in the book and if I’m being honest I was just looking forward to finishing the whole time I was reading. Not for me, but as I always say we all connect with different reads so just because I wasn’t a fan doesn’t mean ye won’t be!
