Aisling is 28 and she’s well… a complete Aisling. She lives in a typical Irish town- Ballgobbard (also known as Ballygobackwards). She has a boyfriend named John but she wants more. She wants a ring. She has been to many weddings this year and she wants her own. When they go on holiday in Tenerife she expects a proposal is coming and when it doesn’t she ends the relationship. She surprises everyone by moving to Portobello with her new stylish friends. New to the big city, we see Aisling navigate her new life. In the sequel Aisling is 29… and still a complete Aisling. New challenges are thrown her way, will she survive her new life?
Aisling novels are like the ultimate Autumn jumper… they make you feel cosy and warm inside. I didn’t want to give away too many spoilers so I didn’t give anything away about the sequel. These novels are so relatable. Especially is you’re Irish like myself ☘️🤣 The humour is so natural in this book, it’s not forced or too much. From her typical Irish Mammy to her town’s rivalry with the neighbouring town this book just has so much humour that is rare for a book to capture. Fans of Marian Keyes will love this book. Be prepared to not be able to put this book down! Read both of these the day they came out and had them finished in a day. Can’t wait for the 3rd book in the series! Have it pre ordered so I can devour it the day it’s released 🤣
