Claire and Eva lead very different lives, but they have one thing in common- they are both in huge danger and need to disappear. A chance encounter at the airport presents the two women with a simple but crazy solution: switch flights then drop off the grid when they land. But one woman will never reach her destination.
For me, this book was like a book of two halves. One half I loved and the other I wasn’t as big a fan of. Claire’s story was so interesting to me. I could have read a full book on her. Her parts were what I really enjoyed about the book. I definitely would have liked to have seen more of an insight into her childhood and more of her marriage. Her relationship was obviously the focal point of the book and I felt that aspects and flashbacks of her marriage would have added a lot to the book. Personally, I wasn’t a huge fan of Eva’s story. I found myself tuning out a lot during her point of view. I would have preferred if her story focused more on her growing up and how she became the person she was. I didn’t like the story with Fish as much and would have been more interested in her life growing up with the nuns. Overall, I enjoyed the book but it wasn’t my favourite that I’ve read.
