⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jodie Wolfe is a 16 year old year with facial deformities and neglected by her alcoholic mother. She accuses four Muslim boys of an unthinkable act. They boys all have the same story. Someone is lying. Zara Kaleel is assigned to Jodie’s case. She is also a Muslim and this case turns her life upside down. She believes Jodie even if those closest to her don’t. What price will justice come at?
I was hooked on this story from the first page. I was looking forward to coming home and reading it each day. I had high hopes that this would be 5 star read. The ending though… I can’t even explain how disappointed I was. It is very difficult to review it without giving spoilers, but what I will say is, it was predictable. Once it got to the end of the trial I could guess what was going to happen. We were then left wondering what Zara was going to do next. I actually hate that in a book. I want to know what did Jodie do next? The boys? There are so many things I want to say about the characters.. but I can’t because it’ll spoil the book☹️ let me just say, I loved the story, the different character’s perspectives and the way is it was written. I would have preferred a stronger ending and for the storyline to be concluded.
