Lily Monrose has only been married for three weeks. When her new husband fails to come home from work one night she is left stranded in a new country where she knows no one.
Alice Lake finds a man on the beach outside her house. He has no name, no jacket, no idea what he is doing there. Against her better judgement she invites him in to her home.
But who is he, and how can she trust a man who has lost his memory?
The storyline of this book was so good. It was told from Alice’s perspective and Lily’s mainly but there were also flashbacks throughout. I was into the story from the first few pages, and I was invested from early on. The characters were interesting and I found it easy to become invested in them. For me, all that left it down was the ending (again, I know 🤭). What I found was that the ending was rushed and I wanted more information on what had actually happened. I don’t want to give too much away, so I won’t say what exactly it was that I wanted more on, but I think that there wasn’t enough time given to the conclusion for one of the characters. The only other thing was that I had guessed the ending from pretty early on but I didn’t mind that too much because I still enjoyed the build up and it didn’t really take away from the storyline. I would definitely recommend this book, it is excellent!
