of by@simonestjames from @berkleypub. 📘👩🏼‍💻👭👭👻 Even though journalist Fiona’s sister, Deb, was murdered 20 years ago, she’s still unable to move on. Meanwhile, decades before in 1950, four “broken” girls, Katie, Roberta, Cece, and Sonia, were sent away to boarding school where they formed strong friendships. Both story lines revolve around Idlewild Hall, a girls’ school that has been closed for decades, and is said to be haunted by the ghost of Mary Hand. How are the two stories related, and are the ghost stories real? “We had to be hard. We’ve always had to be hard. It was either that or break.” – Katie

Secrets, and murders, and ghosts. Oh my. This was so creepy good and the perfect read for Halloween! I was instantly drawn in by the story and the characters and didn’t want to put it down. If you love suspenseful stories as much as I do, then this is a must read!
