The story opens with an elderly Magda insinuating that she killed Hitler while working for him. Could this shocking statement be true?

Overall, I found this story interesting, and the author’s theory of who killed Hitler intriguing. I also liked Magda’s strong character, and the story line about Magda finding love with SS soldier Karl. Unfortunately, the lack of editing and small discrepancies and contradictions throughout were distracting, and the ending felt rushed. It definitely could have been written differently so that it evoked some emotion from the reader. In conclusion, and as compared to the many other WWII books I’ve read, it just wasn’t as good.
