On the tenth day of Christmas… I actually loved this book. I have seen mixed reviews on it, but I honestly adore these books that have a bit of fantasy and have a slight unrealistic element. It is essentially about 9 people who go to a retreat, all for their own reasons. When they get there, the rules are much stricter than anticipated. As time goes on, the guests start to get suspicious of the intentions of the staff and owner of the retreat. I really loved the way the story played out, it was excellently done. Yes, it is a bit mad and bit out there but it’s written so well and executed in a way that doesn’t make it seem quite that outlandish. Definitely pick up this book if you like a psychological thriller!
