Pip has recently moved into a communal living home with her mother (Clare)!and big sister (Grace). Their family issues have driven them here but Pip believes herself and Grace can get through anything together. As the weeks go on and Grace becomes close to the other children in the garden, Pip feels her sister pull away and getting sucked into the relationships in the garden. Clare trusts her neighbours but when someone a child is hurt she is left wondering how well she truly knows her neighbours.
First of all, my apologies for not posting this yesterday. I was so tired after the trip this weekend that I went to bed pretty much straight away when I got in the door.
I really enjoyed this book! I’ve read a few Lisa Jewell books before and I’ve loved them. Her writing is just exceptional. I would have finished this book earlier if I had been at home this weekend- the train journeys were the only time I could read. When I first picked up the book I thought the book seemed quite long but the story flowed perfectly and it didn’t feels dragged out at all which some long books can. This was also my first ever library book! 😂😂
