Sarah has fallen in love with Matthew. It doesn’t matter that she’s sacrificing her friendships, or that he solely ever sees her in secret, or that she’s near shedding her job due to the connection. None of that issues. What issues is she loves Matthew- love is supposed to harm isn’t it?
Louise O’Neill killing it as soon as once more 🔥 undoubtedly my favorite creator (by far). Each guide simply tops the final. This guide is advised in two completely different times- the previous and the current. This reveals us why Sarah is the best way she is. My favorite factor about the best way O’Neill writes is that the sufferer isn’t an ideal character. Usually when books are portraying a sufferer I discover they’re made out to be too good, too candy, too likeable even. Being sincere, Sarah borders on being unlikeable. She doesn’t deal with her mates nicely, or her new boyfriend or her household. However this doesn’t change the truth that she is a sufferer of Matthew. It’s simply the proper story and one thing many individuals will relate to. Can’t anticipate her subsequent guide to come back out!
